What Travelers Say

I've done the Prague Communist tour three times. This was better. The guide knew people at every stop — the woman who still has her Soviet passport framed on the wall, the market vendor who remembered the 1991 coup. You can't script that.

We drove past vineyards for an hour and I thought it was just going to be a wine tour. Then we stopped at a village that looked untouched since 1975. The lunch at a local family's house was the best meal of the whole trip to Eastern Europe.

Sofia M.

Most operators won't touch Transnistria. The guide handled the border crossing like it was routine — because for them it is. The tank monument in Tiraspol is something you have to see to believe. Worth every logistical headache.

James T.

We wanted to do Moldova at our own pace. The private tour let us spend two extra hours at the collective farm site when we asked to. No rushing, no 'the group is waiting.' Completely worth it over a shared tour.

Transnistria:
The Breakaway State

One country in Europe still uses Soviet symbols on its flag. We take you there. Limited dates: we confirm permits batch by batch.
