Who we are

Concrete Garden runs Soviet-era tours in Moldova. We started because we kept meeting Western travelers who'd been to Prague, Budapest, and Krakow and wanted something further east, further off the map, and less polished.

Moldova is the least visited country in Europe. It's also one of the most interesting. Soviet architecture in near-original condition. A functioning breakaway state on the eastern border. Wine country that predates France's. And almost no tourists.

How we run our tours

Small groups only. Maximum 8 people on shared tours. Every guide is a local who grew up here and speaks your language: English, Spanish, Romanian, or Russian.

We handle logistics, border paperwork, and translation. You show up with curiosity.

On Transnistria

Transnistria is our flagship experience and the one that requires the most planning. The border crossing is real, the permits take time, and we run limited dates while we confirm each batch of logistics with our local partners. That's why we run a waitlist: when the next Transnistria trip is confirmed, waitlist members get first access.

Pricing

Shared day trips: €30-€50 per person, groups of up to 8. Private tours: €200 per day, your group only. We keep prices lower than competitors because we operate lean.

All tours include a local guide, transport from central Chisinau, and anything you need to cross any border we cross.
